Resulting Properties
A major application area for 1K, Heat Cured Nitrile Rubber Sealant formulation is the auto industry. Sartomer 633, is a metallic diacrylate coagent, which when added to peroxide-containing sealant formulations co-cures to provide the necessary properties for good sealant performance, especially adhesion. Heat age values (130°C/two weeks) increases over the RT tests. Failure mode is cohesive in all cases with the Sartomer 633 coagent. Glass as well as e-coat steel show bond strengths exceeding 460 psi. The source of this formulation is Sartomer.
