Applicable Base Polymer Properties
Hydrogenated resins are produced from petroleum feedstock by hydrogenation. These resins are characterized by low color, low odor, excellent heat stability, and good compatibility with most polymers. These resins are used as base polymers and / or tackifying resins for pressure sensitive adhesives, hot melt adhesives, caulks and sealants.
The waxes in the formulation are low-density polyethylene waxes. They are used in hot-melt adhesives and coatings for paper and packaging materials. They are also used as additives for candles, carpet-tape adhesives, pavement striping compounds, and road-striping compositions. They possess good high-temperature stability, low color, low-temperature flexibility, and very good compatibility with various tackifying resins.
