Resulting Properties
The low viscosity of the water emulsion and its fast-setting capability provide an excellent adhesive for sealing of corrugated boxes, cartons, and paper bags. The table above provides a formulation for an adhesive that will have a fast set and good penetration into the porous substrates. The latex adhesive dries to a somewhat rubbery film by virtue of the flexible nature of the copolymer. The adhesive has good resistance to water and good adhesion to most substrates.
