Resulting Properties
Metallocene catalysts offer unique advantages versus conventional catalysts. They
allow producing consistent, controllable molecular structures that can be designed to:
- Improve toughness and impact resistance
- Provide low off-taste and odor
- Allow tailoring of processing characteristics to fit the conversion process
- Eliminate non-targeted molecular weight species in resins
- Offer a greater control of molecular weight distribution (MWD)
This formulation -"
Metallocene Catalyzed Polyolefin HMA for Plastic Bonding by Clariant" will produce a water-white HMA with
good adhesion to hard to bond plastic substrates such as PP, PS, PET, PC, PMMA, etc.; wood; aluminum; and various other metals. The adhesive has good resistance to many chemicals and oils.
