Resulting Properties
A starting point formulation using the WDP-35 polyester as the base polymer is described in this formulation. The water-dispersible polyester based formulation compared favorably to the performance characteristics of conventional hygienic adhesives. Repulpable Polyester HMA for Non-Wovens has excellent adhesion to polyolefin films and non-woven substrates. Due to the unique feature of the polyester not being dispersible in ionic solutions, such as bodily fluids, it should enhance the performance of the product in hygienic applications.
