IMCD announces that IMCD Japan has acquired 100% of the shares of the specialty chemicals distribution company, Kuni Chemical.
Acquisition Good Fit for Business Model
Since its establishment in 1997, Kuni Chemical specializes in industrial applications ranging from coatings and construction to automotive and packaging materials. Kuni Chemical comprehensively handles various materials related to waterproofing, moldings, trial materials (urethane, epoxy, silicone, etc.), glass mats, paints, adhesives, and chemical products . fields, from raw materials to finishing materials, catalysts, and raw materials.

IMCD Japan was established as a greenfield in 2016, and this acquisition marks a major milestone as we continue to grow in the country,” commented Shunsaku Kubo, managing director of IMCD Japan.
