The organizers of 45th Munich Adhesives and Finishing Symposium 2020 have announced that the 2020 symposium will take place as scheduled in Munich from 26 to 28 October 2020. The symposium will be held with maximum health and safety measures supported by the Sheraton Arabellapark conference hotel team.
Symposium to Focus on Gluing, Converting and Printing
“
Back to the future: Let us STICK together and meet your business in Munich @ MKVS 2020” will be this year’s slogan. The symposium’s focus will be on gluing, converting and printing. The symposium will cover everything from raw materials, applications to process engineering for and within all involved adhesive systems (pressure sensitive adhesives, hot-melts, solvent-based, waterborne and reactive systems) including extrudable films as well as the related technical equipment.
Divided in 5 sessions, the subjects with all submitted abstracts online launched very interesting program ranges across the whole areas of gluing, printing and converting industry, including business strategy, materials, processing, design, legislation and regulation, sustainability, research, development and innovation – mainly in paper, plastic, foil, self-adhesive materials, tape and label, packing, coating and lamination as well as non-woven related applications.
Dr. Vera Haye from the German Adhesives Association (IVK) will give a keynote speech on “The Green Deal and its implications for the adhesives industry“ as well as Proffersor Dr. Martin Dreher from the DFTA technology Center at the Stuttgart Media University on “Intelligence saves costs in packaging printing”.

The 2.5 days technical conference and networking event will be rounded off also this year by a small tabletop exhibition, with companies like e.g. Evonik,

Registration as well as information and updates regarding the symposium will be available on the
symposium website. The organizers have extended the early bird registration fee due to the Corona crisis by one month up to and including 31 August 2020.

The organizers assure that delegates can book with confidence about their registration for the 45
th Munich Adhesives and Finishing Symposium 2020.
If the organizers need to reschedule the event, or are unable to run this event after consultation with the delegates, they will

roll over their booking to the new dates, or

use their registration for next year’s symposium from October 25-27, 2021, or

credit them the registration fee
If interested delegates are unable to decide at the time, the organizers kindly ask them to save the date of the conference in their calendar and book their place when circumstances change.
In addition to the standard measures, such as disinfectants and the provision of mouth and nose protection masks, the organizers are taking further precautions to protect the health and security of all delegates. Through registration of all delegates, the organizers will make it possible to track and contact any person at any time.
The Sheraton Arabellapark hotel’s conference management and the 2020 symposium organizers are working out a hygiene concept with various scenarios and seating and conference rooms to implement all potential safety standards.
