Irganox® 1076 is a sterically hindered phenolic antioxidant. It contains octadecyl-3-(3,5-di-tert.butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)-propionate. It is highly efficient, non- discoloring stabilizer for organic substrates. Irganox® 1076 is odorless, stable to light and has excellent color retention. It has good compatibility with most substrates, low volatility and high resistance to extraction. It can be applied in polyolefins such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polybutene-1 as well as in other polymers such as engineering plastics, styrene homo- and copolymers, polyurethanes, elastomers and other organic substrates. Its recommended dosage rate in polyolefins is 0.1% and 0.4%, in styrene homo- and copolymers is 0.1-0.3%. It is approved in many countries for use in food contact applications. It is listed in AICS, DSL, IECSC, EINECS, ENCS, ECL, TSA, PICCS, BUWAL and TSCA.
