Irganox® 245 DW

Irganox® 245 DW is a sterically hindered phenolic antioxidant by BASF. It is a mixture of ethylenebis(oxyethylene)bis-(3-(5-tert-butyl-4-hydroxy-m-tolyl)propionate), poyvinylalcohol and deionized water. It protects the substrates against thermo-oxidative degradation during manufacturing, processing and end-use. It imparts excellent chain terminating properties during PVC polymerization. It can be recommended at a concentration level of about 300-800 ppm as chain stopper for the PVC polymerization. It is also suitable for use in synthetic rubbers.
