Irganox® PS 802

Irganox® PS 802 by BASF is a phenolic antioxidant that extends the long-term thermal stability (LTTS). It is based on dioctadecyl 3,3'-thiodipropionate. Provides general purpose heat stabilization. Used for polyethylene power cables, XLPE power cables, HDPE pipes, polypropylene, polyolefin under-hood automotive applications, styrene homo- and copolymers. Irganox® PS 802 has a use level of 0.02-0.03% in cross-linked power cables. Recommended dosage level is 0.05-0.1%. It is approved for food contact applications. It is listed in AICS, EINECS, PICCS, DSL, MITI, TSCA and ECL.
