BYK® -154

BYK® -154 by BYK is an ammonium polyacrylate-based dispersing additive for pigment stabilization in emulsion adhesives. It provides good storage stability for the system and is used to improve colorant acceptance. For optimum performance, these additives must be incorporated into the millbase before addition of pigments. BYK® -154 stabilizes the pigments and fillers by electrostatic repulsion and is recommended for all aqueous emulsion adhesives and sealants. Its recommended levels based upon titanium dioxide, filler and inorganic pigments are 1.5-2%, 0.5–1% and 2–10% respectively.
