Chemguard S-550-100

Chemguard S-550-100 by Chemguard is a 100% active short-chain perfluoro-based ethoxylated nonionic fluorosurfactant. Provides surface tensions as low as 20 dynes/cm in water at low concentrations and is also surface active in many solvents. Composed of short chain C-6 perfluoro telomer. Has excellent dynamic surface tension properties, allowing rapid attainment of low equilibrium surface tensions. Chemguard S-550-100 is chemically more stable than typical hydrocarbon surfactants, particularly in the presence of acids, alkalies or heat. It can improve wetting, leveling and reduces defects such as cratering and orange peel. It is effective at low concentrations of 50-1000 ppm and in both high and low pH. Typical uses include adhesives and caulks. Its recommended application rates are 0.05% to 0.3% depending upon the formulation makeup.
