Trixene® AS by Lanxess is an in-can stabilizer and moisture scavenger or active-hydrogen scavenger. It removes traces of water and neutralizes any free hydroxyl as well as amine groups present for example, in coal tar/urethane blends. This monofunctional isocyanate helps to prevent premature gelling. Trixene® AS is used for PU prepolymer systems.
