Exolit® AP 423 by Clariant is a colorless, non-hygroscopic, halogen-free, very fine-particle ammonium polyphosphate-based flame retardant.

The benefits are low solubility in water, low viscosity in aqueous suspensions and a low acid number.
Imparts a good flame-retardant effect on adhesives and sealants when it is incorporated into the base formulation at the rate of 10-20%.
Bio-degradable by breaking down to naturally occurring phosphate and ammonia.
Exolit® AP 423 has a shelf-life of 6 months.
