Polyglykol® 8000 S by Clariant is a polethylene glycol with a mean molecular weight of 8000. Acts as a solvent and plasticizer. Shows typical chemical reactions of alcohols/diols and a very low evaporation rate. Polyglykol® 8000 S is a yellow flake. It is soluble in water and polar organic solvents like acetone or methanol. It is insoluble in pure hydrocarbons. It is compatible with rubber, cellulose, polyester and polyurethane. Suitable for use in papers, adhesives and sealants.
