BENTONE® 27

BENTONE® 27 by Elementis acts as a rheology modifier. It is an organic derivative of hectorite clay. It provides thixotropy, increased viscosity and improved flow & leveling. It offers excellent worked stability and resistance to melting & oil separation. It is suitable for a wide range of temperature applications. It prevents syneresis in thixotropic systems and pigment settling during storage. It controls the sagging on vertical surfaces and penetration on porous substrates. BENTONE® 27 is designed for moderate to high-polarity organic systems and for synthetic binders, adhesives and mastic compounds. The recommended dosage level is 5-8%. It has a shelf life of 4 years.
