Dynasylan® A

Dynasylan® A by Evonik is a low viscosity tetraethylorthosilicate. In silicone rubber systems, it acts as a crosslinker, and in sealing compositions, as a drying agent. It offers enhanced thermal and chemical stability. The most common methods for producing silicic acid are hydrolysis and thermal condensation at high temperatures. The resultant silicic acid can be carefully applied in situ and bonds well to a variety of inorganic substrates. To increase chemical and thermal stability and mechanical qualities, a very thin layer of silicon dioxide can be applied to the surfaces of glass, metals, pigments, fillers, and synthetic fibers. The registrations include REACH, AICS, EINECS/ELINCS, DSL/NDSL, PICCS, TSCA, IECS, ENCS, and ECL. The shelf life of Dynasylan® A is 12 months.
