Dynasylan® 9116

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by Evonik
Dynasylan® 9116 by Evonik is hexadecyltrimethoxysilane-based rheology modifier for highly filled thermally conductive adhesives and sealants. It is a monomeric long chain alkylfunctional silane with low volatility and viscosity making it easy to handle.
  • During its hydrolysis reaction with water, a certain amount of methanol (VOC) is released.
  • It exhibits superior hydrophobicity on substrates and forms weather-and moisture-resistant bonds to substrates as well.
  • It can be used for the treatment of mineral fillers and pigments or inorganic surfaces in general (like concrete, ATH, MOH).
  • It results in unique compound properties (better dispersion, high filler loading, enhanced mechanical properties, reduced water uptake) when Dynasylan® 9116 treated filler is incorporated into polymers (like polypropylene).
  • It is listed with EINECS/ELINCS, AICS, PICCS, TSCA, IECS, ENCS, ECL and REACH.
  • It has a minimum shelf life of 12 months.
