TEGOPREN® 5840

TEGOPREN® 5840 by Evonik is a non-ionic solvent-free, easy to handle polyether siloxane. It reduces the surface tension of water-based systems. It enhances the spreading on non-polar surfaces such as polypropylene. It is compatible with cationic, anionic, non-ionic and amphoteric surfactants.

• It is recommended for the production of transfer labels and tapes sealant and adhesives or for laminating processes.
• Its recommended addition level is 0.1 - 0.6% for adhesive applications, 0.1 - 0.3 % to overcome defects or craters and 0.3 - 0.6 % for the wetting of critical substrates or an improved penetration.
• TEGOPREN® 5840 has a shelf life of 12 months.
