HELOXY™ Modifier 116 by Westlake Epoxy is a viscosity modifier. It is a commercial grade of 2-ethylhexyl glycidyl ether, low viscosity, almost colorless monoepoxide. It is primarily used in the viscosity reducing modification of epoxy resin formulations. It provides excellent substrate & filler wetting characteristics. It exhibits low volatility relative to other members of the monoepoxide class. It reduces the functionality of the system and impairs the chemical and solvent resistance of the cured resin. HELOXY™ Modifier 116 is compatible with epoxy resins in all proportions and is easily blended with liquid resins at room temperature. It has a shelf life of 2 years.
