Silquest™ Y-11699

Silquest™ Y-11699 by Momentive Performance Materials is an adhesion promoter used in adhesives and sealants. Suitable for organic polymers, glass, metal, wood and cast plastic substrates. It also acts as coupling agent to increase mechanical properties such as tensile and flexural strengths. It improves shelf stability in various resin systems. It provides a controlled cure with a by-product of the coupling and cross-linking mechanisms that have a lower impact on the environment. Silquest™ Y-11699 shows compatibility with polyamides, polyesters, epoxy, urethane, melamine, polyimide, phenolic and furan thermo-setting resins.
