Higree™ GP140

C9 hydrocarbon resin. Acts as a tackifier. It is a thermoplastic resin produced from purified aromatic petroleum-derived monomers with a naphthalene elimination process. Higree™ GP140 is compatible with many resins as well as mineral oils and could be used in base polymers such as ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), styrene block copolymers (SIS, SBS, SEBS). Offers low VOC, solubility in major solvents, excellent heat as well as water resistance, low odor, light color and good holding power, cohesive power, transparency as well as chemical stability. It enhances wetness in pressure sensitive adhesives (PSA) which is composed by tackify resin, modified elastomers, plasticizer, filler and solvent. Used in contact adhesives, hot-melt adhesives, tapes and labels applications.
