A-C® 6

A-C® 6 by Honeywell is a low density polyethylene homopolymer grade. Acts as an adhesion promoter and lubricant. Compatible with ethylene vinyl acetate and suitable for use in amorphous poly-olefin (APAO)-based hot melt, pressure-sensitive, metallocene ethylene octane (MEO) copolymers adhesives. A-C® 6 is recommended for hygiene, packaging, bookbinding, and wood-working. It increases heat resistance, lowers application temperature, prevents oil migration and reduces processing time. Can partially be substituted for fisher tropsch (FT) wax in adhesive applications without detracting from formulation properties. A-C® 6 is applied as a paraffin crystal nucleator in wax blends such as candles.
