5 chloro 2 methyl 4 isothiazolin 3 one (CIT) and 2 methyl 4 isothiazolin 3 one (MIT). Acts as a biocide. It is colorless to pale blue/green clear liquid. It has a very broad activity spectrum against bacteria, yeast and molds. It is soluble in water, glycols and lower alcohols.
