Silquest™ Y-9627

Silquest™ Y-9627 by Momentive Performance Materials is an adhesion promoter. It is a secondary amino functional bis-silane and is suitable for organic polymers, glass, metal, wood and cast plastic substrates. Used in adhesives and sealants applications. It also acts as coupling agent to increase mechanical properties such as tensile and flexural strengths. It improves shelf stability in various resin systems. Silquest™ Y-9627 offers fast reaction with moisture which translates to rapid cure. It shows compatibility with epoxy, urethane, melamine, polyimide, phenolic and furan thermosetting resins as well as many thermoplastics such as polyamides and polyesters.
