Water washed, fine particle size kaolin clay. Acts as an excellent cost-effective functional filler, TiO2 extender and rheology modifier. Has high surface area, high aspect ratio, low oil absorption, low brightness and a platy structure. Gives improved substrate adhesion and improved surface appearance upon drying. Provides whiteness and brightness, reduced specific gravity and float control properties. Provides the desired viscosity, opacity, reduced slump and improved barrier properties. Aids in the dispersion of the other ingredients by providing the correct amount of shear during mixing. Recommended for use in water-based adhesive formulations.
