Mergal® 586

Mergal® 586 by Troy Corporation (Arxada) is an in-can preservative. It is a bacterici-dechlormethyl and methyl isothiazolinone free, heavy metal-free, formaldehyde-free benzo-isothiazolinone. It offers compatibility with water reducible resins, pure acrylic, styrene acrylic, polyvinyl acetate and copolymers, polyvinyl alcohol, vinyl acetate-ethylene pressure polymers and starch casein. It shows broad & balanced action spectrum against bacteria, yeasts and mold fungi. It is used in aqueous systems such as adhesives and acrylate sealants. Mergal® 586 has a usage level of 0.03-0.30%.
