GENIOSIL® XL 63

GENIOSIL® XL 63 by Wacker is N-trimethoxysilylmethyl-O-methyl-carbamate. It functions as a water scavenger in the production of moisture-curing construction adhesives and joint sealants. GENIOSIL® XL 63 is important particularly in systems using highly reactive silane-modified polymers based on alpha-organofunctional silanes, since standard silanes such as vinyltrimethoxysilane are not sufficiently reactive to stabilize these systems. The trifunctional feature leads to high crosslinking density and thus to products of high strength and hardness. Complies with regulations of ELINCS and TSCA inventories.
