GENIOSIL® XL 65

GENIOSIL® XL 65 by Wacker is an organofucntional silane, N-dimethoxy(methyl)silylmethyl-O-methyl-carbamate having a characteristically aromatic odor. GENIOSIL® XL 65 hydrolyzes in the presence of moisture (methanol is released) to form silanols, which can then react with themselves to produce siloxanes. The close proximity of the nitrogen atom to the silicon atom results in a greatly accelerated hydrolysis reaction (alpha-effect).

It is a water scavenger designed for the production of moisture-curing construction adhesives and sealants.
Complies with regulations of TSCA and ELINCS inventories.
