2-Propylheptyl Acrylate high grade (2-PHA HG) by BASF imparts chemical resistance, hydrophobicity, adhesion and weatherability to polymers. It forms homopolymers and copolymers which can be prepared with acrylic acid (& its salts), amides, esters, methacrylates, acrylonitrile, maleic acid esters, vinyl acetate, vinyl chloride, vinylidene chloride, styrene, butadiene, unsaturated polyesters and drying oils. 2-Propylheptyl acrylate high grade (2-PHA HG) readily undergoes addition reactions with a wide variety of organic and inorganic compounds, hence it is also a very useful feedstock for chemical syntheses.
