Styrofan® NX 4628 by BASF is low odor, ammonia-free styrene butadiene binder used in the formulation of laminating adhesives. It provides toughness and water resistance in the finished formulation. Styrofan® NX 4628 is designed to help carpet manufacturers incorporate nontraditional post-industrial and post consumer fillers and additives into their carpet backing systems. It has a shelf life of 6 months.
