Polymer ST 48 by Evonik is a phthalate plasticizer-based, silane-terminated polymer. It offers a good handling viscosity and is therefore easy to apply manually.

It exhibits excellent adhesion to concrete, wood, glass and different metals.
It is designed for interior & exterior joints such as expansion or connection joints, interior joints for dry walling and joints at staircases.
Formulation surfaces are quickly tack-free after application, which ensures rapid processing and avoids long waiting times.
Polymer ST 48 is also used to produce tin-free formulations.
It shows a good stress-strain behavior, making it suitable for low modulus formulations according to ISO 11600 F&G 25LM/25HM.
It has a shelf life of 12 months at temperatures up to 40°C.
