Vistamaxx™ 3980FL

Vistamaxx™ 3980FL by ExxonMobil Chemical is propylene-based elastomer. It offers good durability, softness, excellent sealing properties and mechanical properties. It provides excellent adhesion, reduces stress-whitening and improves impact properties. It exhibits more mileage for the same weight through low density, reduced adhesive applicator maintenance and exceptional thermal stability. It has a very low seal initiation temperature, high seal strength and good chemical resistance. It improves cling performance in cast stretch film and offers outstanding optical properties and improved recyclability. It has a consistent pot stability which reduces charring, gelling and therefore clogged nozzles. This in turn minimizes cost for cleanup and maintenance. This olefinic elastomer is composed of isotactic propylene repeat units with random ethylene distribution. Can be blended with PP, PE and other polyolefins. Used in aqueous systems and non-hydrocarbon based fluids. FL designates that this product passes ExxonMobil Chemical's test for film appearance with regard to gels, as needed for performance film applications (A rating). Vistamaxx™ 3980FL is FDA, EU and RoHS compliant.
