Araldite® EPN 1180

Araldite® EPN 1180 by Huntsman is a polyfunctional phenol novolac glycidyl ether with high reactivity. Cure at ambient temperature gives adequate film properties, but post-cure at 40 to 60°C increases cross-linking and consequently improves resistance to chemicals and temperature. Provides compatibility with modified and unmodified epoxy resins based on bisphenol-A as well as with aliphatic and aromatic reactive diluents. Araldite® EPN 1180 shows miscibility with most commercially available polyamines and their adducts. It has a functionality of 3.6 and it exists at 80% in xylene. Used in exterior vehicle (OEM), interior vehicle (OEM), vehicle assembly (OEM), structural assembly, battery cover sealing & battery assembly, cable sealing, motor and magnet bonding, potting and encapsulating, assembly, thermally & electrically conductive, household appliance assembly, sporting goods, medical device assembly, aircraft & aerospace, marine, rail, recreational vehicle, truck, sport & leisure and wind applications in adhesives. Complies with FDA 21CFR 175.300 regulation.
