Tactix® 556

Tactix® 556 by Huntsman is a dicyclopentadiene based epoxy resin. It is a multi-functional hydrocarbon epoxy novolac. Exhibits high moisture resistance. Aero grade available. It has low moisture absorption than many multi-functional epoxies commonly used in advanced composites. Shows an exceptional ability to retain properties under conditions of moisture and elevated temperature.

• Tactix® 556 resin can be used with a variety of conventional hardeners to optimize specific properties.
• Used in exterior vehicle (OEM), interior vehicle (OEM), vehicle assembly (OEM), battery cover sealing & battery assembly, cable sealing, motor and magnet bonding, potting and encapsulating, sporting goods, medical device assembly, aircraft & aerospace, marine, rail, recreational vehicle, truck, sport & leisure applications in adhesives.
