Dispersion of butyl rubber in paraffin wax. Used in hot melt adhesives. Increases viscosity of petroleum waxes to control penetration on porous surfaces and coating weight for laminating. Improves adhesion, heat seal ability, tensile strength, scuff resistance, flexibility, toughness, bend fracture, flaking, resistance to oxidation, and water vapor transmission resistance when blended with waxes. Contains antioxidants. Applications : laminating (glassine to glassine, aluminum foil to tissue, aluminum foil to paper, kraft to kraft, printed paper to board).
