KRATON™ G1653 Polymer

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by KRATON
Kraton™ G1653 Polymer by KRATON is a styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene (SEBS) block copolymer. Exhibits lower molecular weight & melt and solution viscosity. This low solution viscosity increases solid content and decreases VOC of solvent based products, yet maintains similar processability. Offers reduced shrinkage, high flow and costs associated with solvent. Lower melt viscosity translates to lower processing temperatures which is expected to reduce energy consumption and improve production rates. This rubber glass transition temperature allows the polymer to remain flexible and elastic at low temperatures. This free-flowing dense pellets does not block together during storage, does not agglomerate when dissolving in solvents, may enable improved production rates and can be transferred using conventional pneumatic conveying equipment. It can also be extruded or molded at lower temperatures. Kraton™ G1653 Polymer is used in sealants and hot-melt pressure sensitive adhesives. It is applicable for food contact purposes.
