VMC Vinyl Resin

Carboxyl modified vinyl chloride/vinyl acetate copolymers. A low molecular weight resin containing approximately 81 percent vinyl chloride, 17 percent vinyl acetate, and 2 percent maleic acid. Because of the carboxyl functional group, VMA has excellent adhesion on metal, especially on aluminum foil, the resin foil also has a good adhesion on PVC, ABS, paper, textiles, beton, etc. At the same time, VMA offers a desirable balance of chemical resistance, solubility, diaphaneity, film strength, and thermoplasticity. It has excellent interbedded adhesion. It has applications in interbedded adhesives and thermal transfer adhesive.
