Adhesives that cure via ultraviolet (UV) or electron beam (EB) radiation have become popular in recent years due to their environmental characteristics as well as their effect on the corporation’s profitability. UV and EB processes contribute to the bottom line by greatly increasing productivity, reducing scrap and waste, and lowering inventory. While the main drivers in this market have been environmental compliance issues, it is expected that economics and performance and/or process capabilities are now complementing the environmental value as drivers for industry growth.
