Dow Construction Chemical Latex Powder (DLP) 212 Redispersible Latex Powder is a free-flowing, white powder obtained by spray drying of an aqueous vinyl acetate-ethylene-VeoVa-copolymer dispersion. It offers all the advantages of a free-flowing powder additive such as ease of transportation, storage and handling. DLP 212 Redispersible Latex Powder can be used in a variety of applications in the construction industry to improve key properties of cement and gypsum-based formulations.

Resulting Properties

Polymer latexes are generally added to mortar or concrete materials before or during mixing for the purpose of improving workability or physical properties once the mixture sets. Cured mortars modified with polymeric emulsion have excellent adhesion to various substrates. The polymer is particularly beneficial in cementitious applications where flexibility is needed, such as in ceramic tile adhesives over flexible substrates and cementitious mortars applied in a thin section.
