Resulting Properties
EVA Hot Melt Adhesive for Carton Sealing is commonly used for cartons and folding boxes is given in the table above. EVA resins are considered to be relatively safe to use in food applications. Certain adhesive manufacturers offer EVA resins that are approved for indirect food contact (FDA 21 CFR.175) applications.
This specific formulation listed above has been found to provide:
- Excellent tack
- Very fast set-up time
- Good adhesion to cellophane, paper, aluminum, and many other packaging films
- Poor adhesion to polypropylene
- Recommended for use as a pre-applied carton adhesive or for closing packages on a carton closing machine.
