Resulting Properties
The low viscosity of the water emulsion and its fast setting capability provide an excellent adhesive for sealing of corrugated boxes, cartons, and paper bags. The table above provides a formulation for an adhesive that will have a fast set and good penetration into the porous substrates. The latex adhesive dries to a somewhat rubbery film by virtue of the flexible nature of the copolymer. The adhesive has good resistance to water and good adhesion to most substrates.
