Acrylonitrile butadiene or nitrile adhesives are the most versatile of the general purpose rubber types, but they are less popular than neoprene based adhesives. Nitrile rubber elastomers are commonly used as both solvent based and waterborne adhesives and sealants.
Nitrile adhesives are used to bond vinyl, other elastomers, and fabrics where good wear, oil and water resistance are important. Nitrile adhesives are also good for bonding vulcanized and unvulcanized rubbers to various surfaces.
