GLEN ROCK, Pa. -- Kären M. Olson, president and CEO of
Adhesives Research, Inc., a leading global developer and manufacturer of custom
design solutions with $140 million in global sales, announced the company's reorganization
into four fully integrated operating divisions with a new corporate leadership
structure. The organization's fast growth drove this change to allow the company
to maximize resources and to better serve its customers. Each
of the new operating divisions - ARcare®, ARclad®, ARx, and ARmark
Authentication Technologies - will have dedicated quality, sales, manufacturing,
and technical resources, complemented by business processes designed specifically
for its customers and markets. All four newly named general managers will report
directly to Olson. The ARcare® division, led by vice
president and general manager Geoff Bennett, will focus on the timely development
and manufacture of highly customized, often one-of-a-kind, tapes, adhesive coated
products, films, and laminates for customers in the pharmaceutical, medical, electronics,
and specialty industrial markets. ARclad® will build upon proven product lines
of high-performance, specialty pressure-sensitive tapes used by industrial customers
in the construction, pulp and paper, and transportation markets. William M. Stratton,
III has been chosen to lead this new division as vice president and general manager.
The ARx division, led by vice president and general manager, Beth Vondrak,
will expand Adhesives Research's role as a leading component supplier/partner
to the pharmaceutical industry and bring enhanced focus and regulatory control
to the design, scale-up, and manufacture of "active" adhesive laminates and dissolvable
films for the fast-growing drug delivery sector. ARmark Authentication Technologies,
a new venture, will provide unique technical solutions and customized products
for markets experiencing challenges with product surety, authentication, and security.
Jeff Robertson has been named director and general manager of this new division. "Over
the last ten years, we have tripled our revenue and expanded our operations globally.
Our international revenues have grown to over 40 percent of our current $140 million
in global sales. We are extremely proud of our success and look forward to a dynamic
future," said Olson. "With our growth and success, we will continue to meet
the needs of our customers and their changing industries. Our new structure enables
