LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. -- Air Products Polymers, L.P. announced that, effective November 1, 2004, it will implement in the United States and Canada up to a 20% per wet pound price increase for acrylic-based polymers sold into the adhesives, building products, nonwovens, paper, carpet and textiles markets and sold by the company under the Flexbond®, Airbond®, Valbond®, Valtac® and Flexcryl® trademarks. This increase is being driven by a dramatic and immediate increase in the cost of acrylic monomers used in the manufacture of these products.

Air Products Polymers, L.P. is a joint venture between Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (Allentown, Pa., NYSE:APD) and Wacker-Chemie GmbH (Munich, Germany) that manufactures and distributes latex polymers.

NOTE: This release may contain forward-looking statements. Actual results could vary materially, due to changes in current expectations.
