AkzoNobel at SEMA 2013: to Display Stickerfix™, an Ultra-thin Film Adhesive Solution and more

Norcross, GA -- AkzoNobel's stickerfix™, the industry's first pre-coated ultra-thin film adhesive DIY paint solution, continues to generate buzz amongst the automotive industry as it gears up for a return to SEMA 2013.

Following the highly successful debut of stickerfix at SEMA 2012, and the online launch of stickerfix in Europe's prestigious Halfords retail chain, several major U.S. companies are preparing to include stickerfix in their DIY paint solution line-up for 2014. The growing momentum is a result of the positive retailer and consumer feedback about the adhesive film technology's quick, clean application. There is also considerable interest in stickerfix's superior color match, thanks to AkzoNobel's premium Sikkens pre-coated finishes. Stickerfix offers a revolutionary method for helping car owners conceal unsightly paint scratches and chips any time they need it.

"After an enthusiastic response to stickerfix at SEMA last year, we've worked hard to demonstrate the effectiveness of stickerfix to a large variety of interested automotive aftermarket sellers," said Troy Russell, Business Development Manager. "The feedback from our test market has been extremely positive and we're looking forward to partnering with these major outlets to bring the benefits of stickerfix to U.S. consumers in the first quarter of 2014."

With stickerfix, minor paint damage disappears in three easy steps:

  • Clean - Wipe dirt and grime from the area of application.
  • Select and Stick - Select the appropriate size and shape of pre-painted and pre-cut film piece. Peel off and affix the adhesive film to the desired area.
  • Smooth - Gently smooth out the area to give it a shiny new look.

Stickerfix is available in 79 premium refinish colors, including select pearls and metallics, which cover more than 70 percent of the current U.S. vehicle market. Each stickerfix package contains one sheet with 22 pre-selected decals of various shapes and sizes.

Show attendees can see stickerfix on display during SEMA 2013 in Exhibit Booth #13049, located in the North Hall's Appearance & Accessories area.
