Bethesda, MD -- The Adhesive and Sealant Council has added a new networking focused event to its Fall Convention: the ASC Speed Networking Lunch.

The new program is designed to provide participants with 6 new contacts over the course of a single lunch, expanding an attendee's network and connecting manufacturers directly with raw material and equipment suppliers. The ASC Speed Networking Lunch will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2013 on the first day of the Fall Convention being held October 21-23 at the Minneapolis Hilton in Minneapolis, MN.

"ASC's attendee evaluations asked for the Council to consider new and different ways to connect participants, and this new program is a direct result of that feedback," notes Matthew E. Croson, President, ASC. "ASC's Marketing Committee developed a focused program that will allow 56 attendees to meet 6 new contacts during an informal lunch, allowing attendees to connect in a different way from the normal receptions that the Council has offered historically."

The event will be on a first-come, first-reserved basis and attendees will utilize a new reservation system created by ASC.

"The system is set up to ensure that suppliers sit next to formulators," explains Croson. "During the three course meal, attendees will change seats, allowing them to meet six participants over the course of the lunch. The goal and purpose of this event is to simply expand a network, and establish contacts within a company for future discussions and follow-ups."

ASC's Convention and EXPO is both a technically focused event featuring 50+ papers and presentations on a variety of market oriented topics, and a supply chain EXPO featuring 75+ raw materials and equipment suppliers serving the formulation community. The events have drawn more than 550 attendees, combined. The addition of the ASC Speed Networking Lunch allows attendees to meet other industry professionals in a small group setting, with the intention of making sure participants meet new people outside of a formal EXPO or within an educational setting.

"We're excited about this new opportunity, which will be free to participants," noted Croson. "ASC wants to thank the Marketing Committee, which has spent the past six months developing this concept and helped make it a reality for the industry."
