BASF appoints Herbert Exner Business Director for Intermediates

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- BASF has appointed Dr. Herbert Exner the Business Director for Diols and Derivatives in its Intermediates Regional Business Unit in North America, based in Florham Park, NJ.

Since joining BASF in Ludwigshafen, Germany, in 1991, Exner has held positions in research, marketing and sales. Most recently he was Business Manager for BASF's Performance Chemicals business covering Eastern Europe, Africa and West Asia.

Exner earned a doctorate degree in engineering, majoring in physical chemistry and chemical technology, from the Technical University Darmstadt, in Darmstadt, Germany, in 1989.
