BASF appoints Stephen Jose Business Manager for Kaolin Clays, Americas

CHARLOTTE, N.C., -- BASF has appointed Stephen Jose the Business Manager for Kaolin Clays, Americas in its Functional Polymers Regional Business Unit in North America, based in Charlotte, N.C.

Jose joined BASF in 1997 when BASF acquired the paper chemicals business of PPG. Over the next ten years he held various product, account and marketing management positions in the BASF Functional Polymers paper chemicals business. Prior to joining PPG, Jose worked as an engineer for Champion International in Bucksport, Maine.

Jose earned a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Maine at Orono.

Kaolin clays are used in a wide range of applications including paper, paints and coatings, concrete, rubber, adhesives, crop protection and cosmetics.
