BASF to increase prices for Styrolux®and Styroclear® SBC in North America

FLORHAM PARK, NJ, -- BASF will increase the price for Stryolux® and Styroclear® SBC by $0.05 per pound effective May 1, 2010.

This price increase is necessary due to rising raw material prices, which continue to increase on a global basis.

Styrolux is BASF's trademark for a portfolio of clear styrene-butadiene copolymers used in injection molding and extrusion thermoplastic applications that offer outstanding clarity, exceptional toughness and low density. Styrolux is used for medical applications, food service products, such as thermoformed clear drinking cups and plates, shrink labels, film wrap, toys and household appliances. Styroclear is a line of injection-molding resins for premium-quality, clear garment hangers.
